Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

Every child’s favorite comfort dish is sloppy joes, which are a true classic. They are created with brown sugar, spices, tomato sauce, and ground beef. With this simple dish, you can relive your youth right in your home!

This is a simple, family-friendly, crowd-pleasing dish that can be prepared in the crockpot. It simply requires a few simple items, and the assembly time is around ten minutes.

Sloppy Joes made in the slow cooker are filling, delicious, and a family favorite! The meat is simply browned before being thrown into a slow cooker to cook, making this dish quite straightforward. It is the ideal family-friendly meal recipe for those hectic days.

You may make an entire and satisfying dinner for yourself by pairing it with a variety of side dishes! When I host a party or have game night, I typically buy more ground beef to prepare a bigger quantity and save for later. Even better, use the crockpot to keep it warm throughout the celebration!

What are sloppy joes?

They are a kind of sandwich, but unlike the usual hamburgers, the “patty” in this dish is loose and saucy. It is primarily made with ground beef in tomato sauce, seasoned with different spices and flavorings.

Where did sloppy joes come from?

Some resources say that a certain Joe in Havana, Cuba, who owns a restaurant, came up with the recipe. Visiting friends noted how sloppy the place was, with all the dirt and water covering the space. From then on, the place was called Sloppy Joe’s.
